All pieces are made by hand on the potter's wheel in their studio in Kingston, NY.

We hope you love this vase as much as we do - we feel it's the perfect vessel for weekly flowers in your home.

L'impatience: About the Makers

About the makers: Husband and wife Jerome and Benedicte Leclere are the four hands crafting every piece behind L'impatience. “When we left France in 2008, we had no idea that one day we would call Upstate NY home. It took us a few detours, to Vancouver BC and then Toronto ON, before we finally found our way to New York City. But after a few years in the city, countless weekends spent upstate New York and with Baby Anton on the way, we decided to turn our weekends into full time mode and move to beautiful Catskills region. The early beginnings of L'impatience started in our Brooklyn apartment where we had installed a makeshift studio comprised of a potter's wheel and a couple of shelves. We were transporting our pieces to our local ceramics studio for firing, hoping that nothing would break on the way. We did break many pieces, mostly due to our constant eagerness to see the end results too soon, that's how the name came to us. All of our pieces now come from our home studio in Woodstock, they are all handmade and invite to rediscover the simple things, celebrate these little moments and share them with others.”

We hope you will enjoy them as much as we enjoy making them.
